There has been a lot of talk and a fair bit of hype about the arrival of YSL Le Teint Touche Eclat. A foundation which apparently has all the benefits of the legendary must have concealer pen Touche Eclat.
I was trying not to get sucked into the ‘must get it’ drama that encompasses me when there is such a big product launch, and i lasted well…but last week i gave in. I am now the owner of one YSL Teint bottle, shade BD60.
The gel based formula (it doesn’t feel like gel though) is free of any powers which can sometimes leave a grey veil effect. Teint Touche Eclat is all about erasing those shadows and imperfections, along with contouring.
The most important thing my foundation should do is look natural, whilst covering uneven skin and blemishes. I don’t want to look like i have caked on a bucketload of product. I want glowing skin and for it to still look like its mine…if that makes sense!
So what do i think of my new foundation? I like it. It definitely gives that ‘glow from within look’ (due to the golden pigments in the product), it leaves my skin flawless but doesn’t feel heavy. I do need to build up to the coverage i like, but this is fine as it means this foundation is perfect on ‘good skin days’ too. The only negative i have is that i think the shade i picked up might be a touch too dark for my skin, so next time i will have to try a different tone.
