Ciate are back with a new manicure trend which is likely to cause a bit of nail buzz, as did their last manicure – ‘Caviar Nails’. The velvet manicure isn’t something new (or particularly practical) but is definitely quite fun and impactful. It’s a great look for spesh occasions or to perk up a boring outfit!

I’ve used similar products on shoots i have worked on in the past, and they really do look cool. Here is a nail look i create for a ‘neon styled’ photoshoot, the product i used was called ‘Velveteen‘. I used a bright pink with a yellow polish contrast on a signature nail.

I have yet to try the ‘Velvet Manicure’ kit from Ciate, so cannot comment on how effective it is. However, the images to accompany the promotions do look pretty delicious. The kit is available from 14th August at Selfridges, £14.
