Happy Birthday TopShop Makeup – Birthday Nail Collection

Next month, Topshop makeup celebrate their baby 1st birthday. To mark this special occasion, TS have launched  a Birthday Collection of 3 delish nail shades to add to their existing 50+ polishes. All three of the new hues: Moonshine (rose gold), Heart Of Gold (gold) & Starlight (silver) have a metallic finish and are inspired by the “antique, aged look of Autumn/ Winter’s leather swatches”. They will glam up any outfit, day or night. Take a look on your next shopping spree to TS! I’ve got my eye on Moonshine.

Heart Of Gold, Moonshine, Starlight
The TS birthday collection will be available from May, priced £6 each.

Topshop Sandstorm Collection Eyeshadows

If you pop into Topshop anytime soon, it’s worth stopping by the makeup section to check out the SS11 Sandstorm makeup collection. There are some nice pieces to play with, offering a slight leap in the quality of makeup a year on from TS’s makeup debut. I really like these two baked eyeshadows from the Sandstorm summer range – Meteoric (a deep plum and silver combination) and Solar Cell (a Charcoal and Turquoise mix). They both have a marbleised effect, the tones can be blended together or worn separately. They can also be worn wet for a more intense look, so very versatile. Both Meteoric and Solar Cell have some shimmer to them, just what you need for the summer. Am loving the cute gold pots too! You can take a look at the rest of the collection here.

Topshop Launches SS11 MakeUp Collection

Earlier this week Topshop took over the Penthouse at The Sanderson Hotel to launch it’s SS11 makeup collection. As lovely ladies of the fashion and makeup world mingled with cocktails, and tried out the nail art of ‘marbling’, i was excited by what was on show. TS’s new SS11 makeup is an addition to the core range they currently stock, accompanying this is also the Trend Limited Edition  –‘SandStorm’ collection. I had a little play with all the goodies on display!

Great colour selection for the new lippy range

The core summer collection is very vibrant, with lots of colour to capture attention. Both the lip and nail ranges oozed luscious summer shades which transported me to a glamorous yacht somewhere on the Mediterranean Sea.

The limited Sandstorm range is much more subdued. Inspired by the experimental Burning Man Festival held in the Nevada Black Rock Dessert, its clear to see the ‘dessert’ influences in the range which includes blusher, eyeshadows, glosses and semi-permanent eyeliner.

This is definitely a range to suit all skins tones, and one that can be dressed up or down, for festivals or for fun nights.
Overall, at first glance the new TS collection does look impressive, both in terms of colour and product range, the packaging is also sweet, and i even spotted some gold packaging which i always love to see. The real test will be once i have tried out a few items myself and seen them in action.
